I'm hoping the future holds more interesting options. I've already reverted to the "logging in and failing to come up with something to do" malaise that afflicted me for months before the xpack dropped. I haven't found it to have as much replayability as I'd like because there aren't enough goals to pursue that I am interested. and really enjoyed it.īut in some ways, I also agree with /u/Bradalee. I probably spent as long as you did or more exploring the maps, etc. See what I mean now? There is literally people willing to say something SUCKS because they dont find they get enough gold from it, nevermind all the story and mounts, etc you get with PoF. I'm talking about farming gold for fashion." His response to that is all of a sudden "I'm not talking about the addition or lack thereof of new skins one could acquire in the game.
My response? "PoF had more fashion than HoT" His first case is "PoF sucked because you couldnt farm fashion" Look back at the responses I got got Ethri in this thread for example. Which is why I'm still not going to change my opinion when it comes to PoF, I think its stupid to call it a bad expansion because people think it gives "too little gold". Be it completion of story, raid progressions, gear progressions, guild progression or hell, even achievements. I find that they are driven by progression. I don't find that MMORPGs are driven by rewards in that sense. In case you feel like bickering for too long. So next time you feel the need to tell someone what they should and shouldn't find fun, remember to pull your head out your arse and recognise that different people enjoy different things. It's a key part of life, there's always an output of reward for any action we do by choice, whether it's a feeling of pride, monetary gain, seeing a family member smile or getting some stupid eggnog helmet because it looks fucking sweet on your Asura. I don't like the way you're vilifying people for wanting rewards either, that's literally the key aspect of almost every game out there, especially an MMO. What is fun for you is not necessarily fun for someone else, but that doesn't make it any less valid than anyone else's. That's okay, and super great for you, but i do not find those things fun in the slightest, and i don't feel like my opinion should be belittled. You may have fun running around the desert killing sand sharks for weeks on end, you may still find collecting casino coins fun, you may enjoy repeating the map exploration all your characters. But why do you feel the need to tell me what i should and should not find fun? Why do you feel it's appropriate to post from a position of perceived superiority based on your ability to have "objectively" more and better quality fun than i'm capable of having? That's brilliant, i'm glad you had fun, i'm glad you got a lot out of it. You've taken the stance that my feelings are invalid because you had a lot of fun in the PoF zones running around doing whatever it is you do. This kind of reply always seems very obnoxious to me.
